Overview

Product Planner is web-based. That means you don’t have to install or download any software. Simply go to your Product Planner website on the Internet. It’s better, safer, and smarter than traditional software. No “IT guy” required. Your data is secure with Product Planner - we take this very seriously.

Discuss and submit ideas

Users are defined as anyone that has a great insight into what your customers are asking for and what problems they have. This could be sales or support staff or even customers themselves. Product Planner allows these users to submit and discuss ideas as well as vote for those they support. They can setup subscriptions to alert them when new ideas they are interested in are created or when ideas they have an interest in are updated.

Manage ideas

Product managers have access to more functions than users to help them manage the ideas and information associated with them.

Product managers can view and edit all of the information associated with an idea including details, comments, snippets and prioritisation criteria. They can also merge and split ideas to massage them into the right granularity whilst maintaining the user generated content.

Examples include, effect on revenue, cost and even more abstract criteria such as customer satisfaction by assigning simple scores based on documented assumptions. Snippets and reports

Snippets can be easily assembled to create pre-defined or bespoke reports. This avoids the headache of copying and pasting content from different sources and then editing it. These reports can then be exported in different formats to be shared with other team members.
